Рединг Город на юго-востоке штата Пенсильвания, на р. Скулкилл Schuylkill River. 81,2 тыс. жителей (2000). Административный центр county seat округа Беркс Berks County. Основан в 1733 родственниками У. Пенна Penn, William, Jr., статус города с 1847. Крупный промышленный центр, центр крупного сельскохозяйственного района. Черная и цветная металлургия, металлообработка; производство автодеталей, кирпича, лекарств, оптического инструмента, обуви.
